Ink Prints

All my print-only orders are now printed on Crane Museo Silver Rag Fine Art Photo Surface paper. This luxurious semi-gloss paper is optimized for pigmented inks such as the Epson K3 Ultrachrome inks which I use, resulting in incredibly vibrant prints! The heavyweight thickness of this archival, 100% cotton paper gives the prints a much more substantial feel - perfect for framing. I always strive to create the highest-quality prints possible, and this paper and ink combination is truly impressive.

Colorbox Mounting and Lamination

I am also pleased to offer the popular option of professional print mounting often referred to as "ColorPlak" or "ColorBox" mounting. The print is professionally mounted on a sturdy 3/8" high density MDF wood substrate, and a special protective vinyl laminate is heat-pressed to the print, making it UV, water, and fingerprint resistant. The wood edges are then beveled and trimmed with with a black finished edge.

The print is mounted seamlessly to a 1"-thick black box frame which hangs flush against the wall.

A big advantage of this mounting style is that the laminate has a matte finish which greatly cuts down on glare, enabling easy viewing of large prints, even in bright rooms with harsh lighting - a situation in which prints are almost impossible to see clearly with normal glass frames because of the reflections. Indeed, the Colorbox mounted prints seem to soak up light and glow with color.

Fine Art Acrylic-Glass Face-Mounting

Imagine a traditional glass-framed fine art print hanging on the wall - but without the matte and without the frame, just the glass with the print behind it! This is what the Acrylic- glass mounting looks like.

With this innovative display method, also known as PlexiGlass or Diasec mounting, a glossy print is professionally mounted face-first onto 1/8" Fine Art grade non-reflective acrylic Plexi glass, and backed by 1/8" black dibond/sintra. A wood inset hanging frame is attached to the back, so that the print floats 3/4" off of the wall, appearing like a glass framed print is floating on the wall without the matte and frame.

These Acrylic-glass mounted prints raise the bar for extraordinary image quality, with a vibrant clarity of colors, deeper darker black tones and a luscious depth of contrast. The clarity is similar to traditional glass framing, if not better, since the print is pressed directly onto the glass with no space and no reflections in between.

Acrylic-glass mounted prints are more susceptible to scratches than the Colorbox prints; for this reason I recommend ColorBox mounted prints instead for exposed high-traffic areas like hallways.

In short, although my Acrylic-glass mounted prints are more expensive and require greater care in handling, they provide the ultimate in stunning image quality and elegant display style.

Framing

Due to production and shipping practicalities, I currently do not offer traditional framing service. However if a print is purchased without the ColorBox mounting option, I highly recommended that the print be immediately framed with archival, acid-free materials.

Free Domestic Shipping

All orders, whether print-only or mounted, are currently shipped free within the U.S. I must, however, charge shipping fees for internationally-shipped prints; please contact me to request a shipping quote for your country.

Print-only and ColorBox mounted orders are shipped out within 2-3 weeks of purchase date. Plexi mounted prints are usually shipped out within 3-5 weeks. In the event that I am unable to ship your order within these timeframes, you will be notified of the expected ship date and offered a refund if you choose not to wait.

If you are in a hurry and need a print SOON, I can do a rush order for you to receive the print within about a week. Rush orders do incur an additional rush fee, usually around 50% extra. Please contact me first to ensure that I can get the print(s) to you in time, and to find out what the rush fee will be for the print(s) you want to order.

Print orders are packaged securely and shipped in fine-art boxes via FedEx Ground, insured.

Quality Guarantee

I am confident that you will be pleased with the quality of my prints. I offer a full refund (not including return postage) for any print returned in new condition within a week of receipt. I will also replace at no charge any print that has been damaged in transit, although that is highly unlikely.

If you purchase one of my fine-art prints without the mounting option, I highly recommend that you make a trip to your local custom framer, not only because the prints look especially stunning when matted and framed behind glass, but because the prints need to be protected from the elements to ensure a long lifespan. Refunds will not be given for prints damaged due to neglectful storage. The prints should always be stored or displayed in a dry room out of direct sunshine.
