Mountain Photography by Jack Brauer

New Zealand

From October to December 2008, I spent 7 weeks in New Zealand, mostly tramping (hiking) in the mountains of the South Island during their spring season. I traveled from town to town, with no fixed itinerary, staying for about a week at a time in each place to explore the nearby mountains. The main places I based my hikes from were Mount Cook Village, Queenstown, Fox Glacier, Arthur's Pass, Wanaka, and Te Anau.

If you'd like to read more about my travels and adventures in New Zealand, check out my blog MountainPhotographer.com, where I posted trip reports and photos while I was there.
